Diana Gibson

Eating Disorders Practitioner

Hello, My name is Diana.

My role at SYEDA is that of eating disorders counsellor. I have a Diploma in Relational Therapy and an MSC in Psychosexual Therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that relationships—both with ourselves and with others— are central to emotional wellbeing. I work collaboratively with clients to understand how their experiences, emotions, and relational patterns have shaped their relationship with food and their bodies.

Many people who struggle with eating disorders carry deep feelings of shame, isolation, or disconnection. My aim is to gently support clients in reconnecting with their inner world, developing greater self-awareness, and fostering self-compassion. I’m also experienced in exploring the intersection of eating difficulties with issues such as identity, sexuality, intimacy, and trauma.

I understand that reaching out for help can feel daunting. Whether you're just beginning to examine your relationship with food, or you're further along with recovery,  I will provide a safe space for you to explore, reflect and consider the changes you are making in your life.
