I am SYEDA’s Occupational Therapist and have been with the organisation since January 2014. Prior to this, I facilitated a Lifestyle Matters’ group as part of a dementia research study and have worked with adolescents with a variety of emotional and physical needs.
My approach always focuses on the needs and goals of the individual and has so far ranged from managing anxiety in a supermarket to practising circus skills in a park.
I have personal experience of the devastating impact eating disorders can have on individuals and their families and have wished to pursue a career in this field for many years. I feel very fortunate to be part of the team at SYEDA and endeavour to help my clients recognise that recovery from an eating disorder is both possible and achievable.
