Fundraising Appeal
Every charity in this economic climate are concerned about future funding and at the beginning of the year the team at SYEDA were discussing the possibilities of raising £150k. This is an enormous challenge and we felt that we needed an eye catching visual to make our appeal as alluring as possible to all our service users, families, friends and supporters.
Emily Bode, a young student and ex-service user, volunteered her precious time, skill and energy and created this most beautiful piece of wall art. As clients await counselling, complimentary therapy treatments, support groups etc they can now admire this fantastic piece of art- the strong oak tree that is carefully adorned with leaves that indicate how much has been raised that month. Fairies decorate the tree too. Everyone at SYEDA is eternally grateful to Emily for this “Tree of Life”, Emily herself has said how therapeutic it was for her to come back to SYEDA and spend peaceful afternoons doing something that brings her much pleasure and relaxation.
