Syeda's New Centre

On Tuesday, 01 September 2009 Syeda will be moving to new premises.  There are important changes to services that you will need to be aware of.

Sadly, Syeda has had to make the decision to move to new premises as where we are currently is now proving to be too small to meet the needs of those wishing to access our services.  We have been fortunate enough to secure new premises only 5 minutes away from where we are now.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly and we have spent a long time trying to find the right place.  We believe we have now done that and would like to introduce you to our new centre.

Our new address will be:

Building refurbishment work is currently taking place to ensure the new premises are fit to meet our needs and for us to deliver services.  We look forward to welcoming you into our new home at the beginning of October.

Services will continue to be delivered in our existing premises at Zest until the end of August when we have to leave.  During the month of September building work will still be underway at our new premises meaning we will be unable to provide services there until October.  We will still continue to take referral bookings however appointments will be offered from October.

If you are currently accessing the following services; Counselling, CBT, Mentoring & Befriending, Complementary Therapies, or
Dietetics we would like to offer you the following options:
- Placing on 'hold' the services you are accessing for the month of September, restarting again in October or
- Continuing with services in September but in other temporary accommodation/rooms (most likely within the Zest building)

If you are on a waiting list for any of our services your place will continue to be secured however you may have a slightly longer wait than initially thought, approximately 4 weeks longer, we would like to thank you for your patience whilst waiting.  By moving to bigger premises we will be in a better position to increase our service delivery and times.

Although we are very sad to leave the centre we are in, we hope that you are as excited as us about having our own dedicated premises and that you will contribute to making these new premises an even better place in which to support your needs.  We will be having an informal drop in at our existing centre @ Zest on Thursday, 27 August between 2.30pm and 4.30pm if you would like to come along and look at the visual display we have of the new centre and floor plans etc.  You can also give us your ideas and opinions for the new centre.
